I’ve had a few cabinet makers tell me that there is some sort of magic to using the same color as the plastic. I didn’t find any proof of that. But it is an option if you want to avoid this issue.

It is also worth mentioning that the plastic doors and shelves are the preferred way for the consumer to store valuable things in a new construction home. So if you have a cabinet maker tell them that, for example, you are using the same color for the cabinet as the front door.

And if you want the cabinet maker to tell you that the cabinets are the same color as the door, simply put an “x” on the cabinets.
